Sunday
Morning Adventure for Children:
The Sunday School is learning about Time and Money in a new unit
focused on Stewardship.
The
children will learn how to save their money, the different places
they can send it to help others, and how money is not the only gift
they have to give. People can also share their talents, because
these, too, are gifts from God.
This
unit will go through October.

We use
an active and hands-on approach to Christian Education, featuring
"stations" with different activities centered on a particular theme. The
children listen and tell stories, sing songs, experiment with drama
and video, color pictures, make crafts and perhaps make and bake
something.
We
love our children, in Sunday School, to be sure; but also in all
our church activities. Entering our Sunday School you will find
a warm and inviting environment where our teachers provide the children
of the church with a fun and engaging hour of education. Sunday
School meets during the church service. Immediately following a
“children’s moment” with our minister, David, the children are dismissed
to their classes.
We
have classes for the primary grades (K-2) and the upper grades (3-5)
and for junior high and high school. We are excited that our Sunday
School recently combined with that of the First Samoan Congregational
Christian Church. This provides a way for the children of both congregations
to share traditions and cultures while studying the Bible together.
Our talented and dedicated teachers, who recognize the beauty and
spirituality of all children, encourage growth by guiding students
in studying the Bible, completing craft projects, and cooperating
with one another. Our aim, in the congregation as well as in the
Sunday School, is to allow the light of Christ to shine through
our whole lives.
Come
and join us!
