Music
First Congregational encourages enriching the worship experience through diverse musical expression. Traditional pipe organ weaves together at various times with jazz piano, crystalline Samoan vocals, Native American Flute, guitar, hand bells, choral music, bluegrass, or rock bands. Our full-time choir, directed by Ron Hawks, meets regularly to prepare for each Sunday. The repertoire combines traditional hymns with folk or contemporary vocals. Both participants and the congregation live the joy of music in worship! Speaking of lively, on occasion you will see sacred dance in our sanctuary, sometimes spontaneous and improvised, at other times choreographed and performed.
